General Overview
These terms and conditions govern the professional ECU (Engine Control Unit) repair and testing services provided by GrandPrix Auto Parts JHB ("we," "our," "us").
By engaging our services, you ("the customer") agree to be bound and confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
Service Scope
2.1. We specialize in diagnosing, testing, repairing, and refurbishing ECUs for various vehicle makes and models.
2.2. The repair service is intended to address specific faults identified by the customer or through our testing processes.
2.3. We provide testing services for ECUs to assess their functionality. Test results will be shared with the customer before proceeding with repairs.
Liability Limitations
3.1. We are not responsible for consequential damages, vehicle malfunctions, or other issues resulting from improper installation, misuse, or external factors.
3.2. Our liability is limited to the cost of repair services rendered and does not extend beyond the warranty period.
3.3. If the ECU is deemed non-repairable, we will return the unit to the customer upon request. Testing fees will still apply.
3.4. Refunds for prepayments will be issued after deducting testing fees or any completed work.
Testing and Diagnosis
4.1. A non-refundable testing fee is applicable, regardless of whether the ECU is deemed repairable.
4.2. Test results are provided as part of the service and are accurate to the best of our diagnostic equipment's capabilities.
4.3. Customers must provide accurate vehicle and fault information when submitting an ECU for testing or repair.
4.4. We reserve the right to refuse testing or repair if the provided information is incomplete or incorrect.
Turnaround Time
5.1. Estimated turnaround times for testing and repair will be communicated upon receipt of the ECU.
5.2. Unforeseen delays may occur if additional faults are identified or parts need sourcing. Customers will be notified promptly.
5.3. Turnaround times may vary depending on the complexity of the repair and the availability of parts.
Costs and Payment
6.1. All costs for testing, repairs, and any applicable shipping will be communicated upfront.
6.2. Full payment is required before releasing the repaired ECU. Payment methods accepted are cash, EFT, or credit card.
6.3. If the customer declines repairs after testing, only the testing fee will be charged.
